With a 4th place overall in the FIA \u200b\u200bHistoric classification<\/strong> and a group win<\/strong>, Martin Karlhofer and Gunter Lenk<\/strong> shone in their Delta Integrale EVO Gr.A<\/strong> alongside top international stars.<\/p>\n

The Rally Weiz 2026 startet with well known names like Jari Matti Latvala (WRC Vice World Champion)<\/strong>, Francois Delecour or Renato Travaglia.<\/p>\n

After Toyota star Latvala’s retirement on Friday, it was a tough and close battle for the lead with the very fast Porsche\u00b4s from Maciej Lubiak and Karl Wagner<\/strong> and the BMW from Renato Travaglia.<\/p>\n

The Lancia duo, with consistently fast stage times, even managed to climb to 2. place<\/strong> at times.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a difficult rally with very varied weather conditions. We were able to set strong times from the start without taking excessive risks. However, a momentary lapse in concentration resulted in a 20-second penalty<\/strong>, which cost us a potential second place.<\/p>\n

Throughout Saturday, we fought for every second.<\/p>\n

In the end, we achieved a very respectable fourth place overall in the European Championship field<\/strong>, as well as a second and a first place in the individual classes<\/strong>. Martin Karlhofer<\/strong> took the 4. place<\/strong> in stride and explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are absolutely delighted with this result. Competing against these top stars on equal terms and seeing the numerous fans along the route was very motivating. Our full team \u2013 our car \u2013 was simply top.
